D3 Security is an innovative B2B tech SaaS company in the cybersecurity industry. This Downtown Vancouver-based company serves some of the world's most renowned enterprises and organizations, including Disney and the London Stock Exchange.

 

I joined the marketing department as the Growth Marketing Coordinator. I grew in other areas of the team and was promoted as the Field & Brand Marketing Strategist.

Bringing D3 to Cyber Pros

From research to execution to reporting on KPIs, I was responsible for strategizing how to increase D3's visibility and increase sales opportunities at major international cybersecurity conferences, while also helping roll out the company's new brand identity.

Responsibilties:

  • Researching best conferences to attend

  • Preparing field sales team members with conference plans and logisitics, and aligning them with the new brand messaging

  • Managing all email marketing campaigns, including creating templates, graphics, segmented lists, scheduling

  • Ordering company merchandise and giveaways, printed collateral, business cards, and banners

  • Updating D3's events page and landing pages, and all email templates and automated emails

  • Designing booth layouts at conferences

Coordinating with several vendors and conferences, I was able to help promote D3 at numerous cybersecurity events globally. I also had the opportunity to attend and oversee the impact of our team's hard work, as well as, report on sales opportunities.

Black Hat USA

New Brand, Who Dis?

The new and improved D3 visual brand identity included dark backgrounds with clean (and a lot of times fun) bold elements. I captured these photos at Black Hat USA, where the new brand was successfully unveiled and received.

For Black Hat USA, I was responsible for​:

  • Project managing the booth build, brand activation activity (on-site spray tattoo artist was a big hit!), and ensuring all tech and demo stations worked

  • Planning the logistics of ordering and delivering thousands of new swag items

  • Preparing the field team with new brand vision and messaging

  • Managing email marketing and coordinating with our social media team to promote our presence

  • Helping plan a sales dinner and post-conference party

Email Marketing 

Strategy to Delivery

I managed dozens of email marketing campaigns, sending over 1 million emails to contacts from around the world. From creating automated emails, running simultaneous drip campaigns, to sending emails promoting new content and events, as well as 4 monthly newsletters, I was able to help increase brand awareness and nurture relationships on a global scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Created email marketing strategy and calendar

  • Scheduled emails based on segmented lists and geographic regions

  • Researched best practices, conduct A/B testing, and improve email health score, open rate, and click-through rate

  • Analyzed KPIs and wrote detailed reports
